Restorative Experiences

Sound Baths

A Full-Body Listening Experience

A sound bath is a deeply immersive, full-body experience of being surrounded by sound vibrations while resting comfortably. Using simple mindfulness techniques, crystal singing bowls and other complimentary instruments, sound baths invite therapeutic and restorative effects throughout the body.

The tones and frequencies produced during a sound bath interact with the nervous system, helping shift the body out of stress and into a relaxed state. Many people describe feeling more present, calm, and deeply rested—similar to the effects of meditation or deep relaxation practices.

The idea is simple:
Sound baths help support the body’s natural ability to heal. A way to “reset”

Sound baths can be:

  • Broad, for overall relaxation and stress relief

  • Personalized, focusing on specific areas or intentions

What to Expect During a Sound Bath

Your only job is to rest.

You’ll be encouraged to make yourself comfortable using blankets or supports for your head, neck, or knees. The goal is to allow your body to fully relax without effort or tension. You’re encouraged to use:

  • Blankets if you feel cool

  • Bolsters or cushions under your head or knees for comfort

  • Eye masks

Everyone’s experience is unique, but common benefits include:

  • Feeling calmer and less stressed

  • Looser muscles

  • Deep relaxation

  • Pain relief

  • Improved sleep

  • Elevated mood

  • Increased body awareness and presence

Reiki

Gentle Energy Healing for Deep Balance

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It works through the flow of a higher, guided life force energy and is both noninvasive and deeply calming.

During a Reiki session, light touch or hands placed just above the body are used to support energetic balance. Clients remain fully clothed, removing only shoes and glasses for comfort.

Reiki is one of the gentlest and most practical healing therapies available. Developed in early 20th-century Japan, it is a form of vibrational healing that supports balance on every level—physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and even social.

Rather than attacking illness, Reiki strengthens the body’s natural ability to heal by encouraging balance within the energy system.

Reiki, Energy & the Biofield

Reiki is classified by the World Health Organization as a form of Energy Medicine that works in and around the biofield—the energetic field that surrounds and extends approximately 8 feet from the body.

While invisible to the human eye, the biofield can often be felt through sensations such as warmth, pressure, or subtle movement. This energetic system supports communication between cells and helps maintain balance within the body.

When energy flows freely, the body and mind tend to be in a healthy state. When energy becomes blocked or weakened, it may contribute to physical or emotional imbalance. Reiki helps restore flow and harmony.

Reiki & Spirituality

You do not need to believe in anything specific to benefit from Reiki. An open mind is all that’s required.

While Religion involves adherence to specific beliefs, spirituality is personal—it’s how each individual relates to meaning, value, and the unseen aspects of life. Reiki supports this personal sense of meaning, connection, and wellbeing exploration in a gentle and individual, non-dogmatic way.

Over time, regular Reiki practice can shift how we experience ourselves and life itself. Many people notice:

  • Increased groundedness and stability

  • Greater clarity and self-expression

  • A deeper appreciation for what truly matters

Reiki, often referred to as Integrative Medicine Services, works beautifully alongside conventional medical and therapeutic treatments. It is currently offered in hundreds of hospitals and cancer centers nationwide, including Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Md Anderson Cancer Center, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
